Showcasing the latest in pipe joining technologies and innovation for the global mining industry, Victaulic will be exhibiting at this year’s MINExpo International in Las Vegas. Experts will be on hand to share practical knowledge owners, engineers and installers can use to save money and improve the efficiency of their mining operations.
“Today’s mining industry is looking for innovative solutions that not only help optimize operations and maximize production, but also reduce operational costs and improve safety,” said Rick Bucher, Executive Vice President of Technology and Development for Victaulic. “Continually evolving to meet the needs of our customers and the demands of the industry, Victaulic has developed a number of innovative pipe-joining solutions designed for reliable, worry-free service under the most severe conditions imaginable while keeping pace with today’s technology.”
This year’s MINExpo will run from September 26 to 28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among Victualic’s extensive line of piping solutions, they will be showcasing their Series 795 Knife Gate Valve and Refuse-to-Fuse™ HDPE pipeline system.
The Series 795 Knife Gate Valve. Driven by efficiency and safety, Victaulic’s Series 795 Knife Gate Valve is the industry’s first knife gate valve designed to be maintained in-line without having to remove the entire valve from the pipeline, resulting in up to 95 percent savings in downtime and more than 60 percent savings in annual maintenance costs. It is also the first Installation-Ready™ valve, made with an integrated coupling design allowing the valve to be directly installed on the pipe. This innovative design not only reduces labor hours but also protects against potential safety hazards.
Maintenance is an essential factor when considering the selection of a knife gate valve. Due to the highly abrasive environment that these types of valves are subject to, they tend to wear very quickly requiring frequent change out. With the Victaulic Knife gate valve, the only parts subject to wear are contained in a single cartridge kit that can be swapped out in mere minutes. Reducing labor hours spent on maintenance, increasing life span and creating a safer and cleaner working area makes Victaulic’s knife gate valve a true stand-out within the industry.
Refuse-to-Fuse™ System for HDPE pipe. Victaulic will also display the latest in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe-joining solutions, including couplings, fittings, and spigot outlet adapters that eliminate the need for fusing. The Refuse-to-Fuse™ system is simpler than traditional fusing methods installing up to 10-times faster, reducing labor costs and schedule times while also eliminating the need for expensive equipment rentals and certified technicians.
The system is suitable for plain end and grooved HDPE pipelines, and can be used above ground, below ground and in buried systems. Installation is weather independent and made easy with two or four bolts, reducing labor time and minimizing safety hazards. In addition to game-changing installation speeds, the Refuse-to-Fuse™ system streamlines maintenance, as couplings can be readily disassembled and removed from the pipe, and then easily reassembled upon completion of the work. As with all Victaulic products, the system boasts proven reliability, ease of maintenance and consistent service.
“The value and reliability our diverse line of products bring to our mining customers’ operations have earned us a global reputation as a leader in the mining market,” added Marc Carriere, Global Sales Mining Manager for Victaulic.
